Ladder

Traditional light farm wagon - a ladder wagon with an open slatted body, used in the rural environment of the 19th century for transporting hay, straw or small cargo. The construction consists of hand-worked solid wood joined by pins and fittings, fitted with four spoked wheels with iron hoops. A distinctive feature is the high vertical stake and slatted sidewalls allowing the load to be secured with chains. The colouring corresponds to the natural ageing of the wood in grey-brown tones with a distinctive patina. The car is in original, unrestored condition, suitable for exterior use only.
