Functionalist standing ashtray from the 1930s-1940s, made in a combination of metal and wood or bakelite. The cylindrical body in a brown shade is complemented by a chrome base and a domed lid with clean lines typical of functionalism. The simple, purposeful form without unnecessary ornamentation reflects the aesthetics of modern design of the interwar era.
